Overview
After the first 32-team Club World Cup in the United States in 2025 (won by Chelsea), the next edition is due in mid-2029. FIFA has not yet named the host; Brazil, Morocco, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Spain/Portugal and the USA have all been reported as interested.
Qualification runs across the four seasons from 2024–25 to 2027–28 through continental championships and a ranking pathway.

- 32 clubs in eight groups of four; top two into a Round of 16, then quarter-finals, semi-finals and final — no third-place match.
- Slot allocation is expected to follow 2025: UEFA 12, CONMEBOL 6, AFC 4, CAF 4, CONCACAF 4, OFC 1, host 1.
